The article under studies deals with the issue of comparative aspects genre. Particular emphasis has been placed on genre form (in sense a characteristic matrix/canon as complex specific factors), which functions in terms continuous literary process and, accordingly, adapts to its contextual changes, deviations, objections, innovations, correlations, needs receptive environment. author’s and reader’s perception meanings, contained particular genre, do not necessarily coincide. Consequently, so-called multiplicity logic ( Jean-Marie Schaeffer’s proposal) directly appeals comparativistic experience studying typological coincidences or borrowings that affect such. Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel Adolescent is taken an example modification. Its regarded contamination confession by means comparing individual plot lines interpreting main characters, are perceived biblical context. Besides, it acquires different perspective clarifying general idea. Finally, singles out such terminological syntagms polymorphism, modifications, metamorphism.
